Charles Walton who has held the global Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing role throughout the year has done a tremendous job in driving INSIDE to record sales volumes in 2006 and in developing the activities of the Payments Business Unit to make it the growth engine of INSIDE . As INSIDE expands its global sales organization, Charlie will concentrate on his role of leading the Payments Business Unit , focused upon product & marketing strategy and on building major partnerships within the global financial services industry. He is as well taking responsibility for marketing communications overall for INSIDE. At INSIDE, Bertrand’s charter is to expand the European, Middle Eastern and South American sales effort. He will help accelerate INSIDE’s sales growth in these territories by working with existing accounts to expand INSIDE’s unique value proposition with each account. Bertrand will report directly to INSIDE’s CEO, Remy de Tonnac. “Contactless technologies are going main-stream in many markets and geographies. After a period of pilots and interoperability set-up, we’ll see an accelerated migration in the Banking and Telecom sectors, with very meaningful multi-applicative concepts powered by NFC,” says Bertrand. “These are exciting times when the technology is mature enough to be pervasive, as was the Smartcard industry in the early nineties. I am very happy to join INSIDE at that moment and bring my past experience to grow those businesses in Europe and Latin America”. Bertrand Moussel acquired a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from SUPELEC (1982), and he earned his MBA from HEC. He started his professional career in the semiconductor industry, working for ST Microelectronics and Texas Instruments, where he held various sales and marketing positions. In 2003, he became CEO of AVILINKS, a manufacturer of Telecom equipment for the Internet Broadband industry specialized in “triple play” applications. By mid-2005, Bertrand joined Oberthur Card Systems, where he led the Banking and Transport Business Units as well as acting as the company’s Director for the South America region. INSIDE also announced today that Goh Say Yeow has joined the company to manage the sales strategy for Asia, and to reinforce and build on the existing activities in the region.
