WIMA, which this year attracted over 400 participants, is well on its way to establishing itself as an absolute must-attend event for anyone with an interest in the field of multimedia wireless services and applications.
A comprehensive schedule of conferences and presentations provided every visitor
with the opportunity of finding out everything there is to know on the latest
developments and state-of-the-art technologies applied to WiFi, WiMAX, and
Meshed Networks, Mobile TV and communicating vehicles.

The First New Field Communication (NFC)
Developers Summit in particular
was hailed as a resounding success, with Laurent Puons, WIMA's MD, commenting:
"We have now entered an era where a mobile phone's function is no longer
to simply make calls, but also to touch."
The first NFC European Awards Ceremony
saw the best applications of NFC technology rewarded, and there can be no doubt that this competition is set to figure amongst the most prestigious
competitions in the world.

With an exhibition area covering over 2000m2 of floorspace, delegates were able to
meet with other professionals and specialists, to discover and test the latest
products and set up partnerships with high calibre partners.
Ensure that you join us next year at WIMA 2008, which will be held from the 28th
to the 30th of April, and promises to be even more spectacular, by
entering its dates in your PDAs and electronic diaries now !
