Walluf, February 15, 2007 - Assa Abloy ITG (ITG), the leading provider of ID
management and RFID solutions that resulted from the merger of ACG, Omnikey,
Sokymat, Novacard do Brasil, and VisionCard, presents its complete product range at
CeBIT. The exhibit focuses on new Smart Card readers for - log-in and authentication
solutions for secure network access as well as on the RFID products for electronic
ID documents. In Hall 7, Booth #D57, visitors can simulate the safety checks using
the new electronic passport and watch a live demonstration of the technology that is
used at airline check-in counters and for border control. In addition, several
partners from the IT security industry demonstrate the specific value of different
Smart Card-based security applications such as authentication, encryption, Single
Sign On or digital ID management.
The company presents solutions for a total of seven business segments, each
addressing a specific market. Special highlights come from the "Government" and
"IT&Corporate ID" segments. For Government, the company demonstrates visa stickers
using RFID - they contain the data of the traditional paper-based visa and are
designed to replace them in the near future - and inlays for the future electronic
national ID cards (NID) and other components for electronic ID documents in
practical use. Visitors can experience how the passport photo and personal data in
electronic passports are read at border control and learn more about the security
features of the new electronic travel documents. Also, the future identity check
procedure at airline check-in counters for travelers using the new passport is
demonstrated.

In the field of IT & Corporate ID, the company presents PC-based Smart Card readers
for IT security solutions. A technology study of a USB dongle demonstrates how the
PC can be networked via Near Field Communication (NFC) with other NFC-capable
devices such as mobile phones or NFC cards. The dongle is also able to communicate
with all RFID transponders and devices that operate at a frequency of 13.56 MHz. Due
to its handy format, it is especially attractive for mobile -employees, ensuring
their secure log-in to the PC, data encryption or digital signatures even when they
are away from the office.

Other exhibits of the company include a new biometric reader that meets especially
high security standards with triple identification via PIN, card and fingerprint.
The company's OMNIKEY SICCT (Secure Interoperable Chipcard Terminal) reader for the
German Health Card is the first fully equipped device that has a contactless
interface for the physician's comfort signature. It is already designed to interface
to existing practice management systems and can be easily adapted to the future IT
infrastructure in hospitals, pharmacies and medical practices by simple re-plugging.

Specific applications in the field of IT security are presented on the booth by
several partners. Demonstrations include card management systems for the
personalization and management of Smart Cards and USB tokens, client security
products such as Single Sign On, as well as harddisk encryption and VPN.
